Future Ideas

My Future Vision: Exploring the Possibilities of Art and Design

Art has been an important part of my life since childhood. From elementary school to university, I studied fine art with experienced teachers from different artistic fields. These experiences helped me develop my drawing skills, strengthen my visual understanding, and build a solid foundation in artistic expression. Over the years, I have come to understand that art is not only about creating something beautiful. It is also about communicating ideas, exploring emotions, and discovering new ways to understand the world. As I continue my creative journey, my goal is to combine art and design to explore new possibilities and develop my own creative language.

My background in fine art has taught me to observe the world carefully. I enjoy paying attention to shapes, textures, colours, and the small details that people may easily overlook. Recently, my landlord’s pets have become an important source of inspiration for my creative ideas. Their unique personalities, movements, and expressions encourage me to imagine different characters, forms, and visual stories. Through observing them, I have learned that inspiration can come from ordinary experiences and that creativity often begins with curiosity.

In the future, I want to bring this way of thinking into the field of design. I see art and design as two connected disciplines that can support and enrich each other. Fine art allows me to express my personal vision and imagination, while design helps me develop ideas into meaningful visual experiences that can communicate with others. By combining the freedom of artistic exploration with the problem-solving approach of design, I hope to create work that is both expressive and functional.

I am particularly interested in exploring different materials, techniques, and creative processes. Drawing and illustration allow me to develop ideas through lines, shapes, and visual storytelling. Sculpture and paper art offer opportunities to explore three-dimensional forms, space, and structure. Digital tools and design software can help me transform these ideas into new forms and experiment with possibilities that may not be achievable through traditional methods alone. I want to move between these different approaches instead of limiting myself to a single medium or style.

Another important goal is to understand how design can create meaningful experiences for people. I am interested in how visual communication, spatial design, and interactive elements can influence the way people feel, think, and engage with their surroundings. For example, an artistic idea could become an illustrated story, an exhibition, a physical object, or an interactive experience. By exploring different formats, I hope to discover how one idea can develop into many different outcomes.

I also want to continue learning about new technologies and how they can support the creative process. Digital modelling, 3D design, and emerging creative tools offer opportunities to test ideas, build prototypes, and explore forms that would otherwise be difficult to imagine. However, I believe that technology should support creativity rather than replace the artist’s vision. My fine art background will continue to guide my decisions about composition, proportion, colour, and expression, while design knowledge will help me consider the purpose, audience, and practical use of each project.

In the long term, I hope to develop a personal creative practice that brings together traditional artistic skills, contemporary design methods, and my own observations of everyday life. I want to remain open to different disciplines and continue challenging myself to think in new ways. I understand that this process requires patience, experimentation, and a willingness to learn from mistakes. Not every idea will work as expected, but every attempt can help me discover something valuable.

Ultimately, my future goal is not simply to become an artist or a designer, but to explore the possibilities that emerge when these two fields come together. I want to create work that reflects my imagination, communicates meaningful ideas, and offers people new ways to experience the world. By combining what I have learned from fine art with the knowledge and skills I continue to gain through design, I hope to build a creative future that is flexible, thoughtful, and uniquely my own. For me, the most exciting part of this journey is knowing that there are always new materials to explore, new ideas to develop, and new possibilities waiting to be discovered.
